Medical acupuncture by qualified doctors – covered by statutory insurance for knee osteoarthritis and chronic lower back pain. Cupping and trigger point acupuncture are always self-pay services (IGeL).

The group practice of Dr Kochs & Dr Rode is a specialist orthopaedic practice in Aachen-Laurensberg, Roermonder Str. 326, 52072 Aachen. A bus stop is right outside the door and parking is available. We combine evidence-based diagnostics with proven manual and complementary methods.
Every treatment starts with a detailed conversation and a thorough examination. We do not operate ourselves – we give you independent advice and focus on non-surgical therapy first.
How we work
We listen, assess mobility, stability, alignment and muscles, and look at how you walk.
Ultrasound and X-ray are available in the practice – so we can complete findings during the same appointment.
We combine the treatments that suit you – and talk openly about costs and possible surgery.

The orthopaedic examination, X-ray and ultrasound diagnostics and many treatments are covered. Acupuncture is covered for knee osteoarthritis and chronic lower back pain. Hyaluronic acid, ACP and extended osteopathic treatments are self-pay services (IGeL) – we will inform you about the costs in advance. If you have private or international insurance, please check your cover with your insurer.
Yes. Paediatric orthopaedics is a speciality of Dr Kochs, who holds the additional qualification in paediatric orthopaedics – from hip dysplasia and foot deformities to scoliosis.
No. We provide non-surgical (conservative) treatment. If surgery becomes advisable, we give you independent advice, put you in touch with experienced surgical partners and are happy to provide pre- and post-operative care.
